This place is all about a Image! And not about making their guest feel comfortable. During that trip the entire area had a black out, okay understandable, we went to the front desk to inquire about it, they offered no apology, but gave us a little flash light to get back to the room, to make matters worse, the casino was completely lit up, so was the lobby, but they couldn't use the back up generator to provide lighting for the guest, they never gave us water, but did charge us for it, this continued all night As far as the club is concerned we tried to in, we were all dressed up, it was about ten of us, we wanted to get a table, bottles, etc.

Looking at us like we were nothing, and denying entrance because one person didn't have the right kind of shoes on Like I said never again!

And since then I have been to Puerto Rico about 20 times! Last time I was here there was a casino and now there isn't. Pretty bummed that the casino was taken out.

The staff here are pleasant and very attentive. And of course I'll be back. I cannot stress enough how wonderful this place was on my trip.

We went here and the beauty was not even in pictures you have to see it for yourself.. The waitress the bartenders the staff and the ambience was absolutely phenomenal.

Anyone visiting Puerto Rico has to come by this hotel and have drinks and tapas in the lobby. It has to be one of the nicest and grandest lobbies I've ever been in.

It's not cheap but totally worth every dollar and the experience. It's an old piece of an old Puerto Rico.

And it was an experience just to be a part of it. This place was top notch. The food was great, the service from everyone we encountered Angel, Angelo, Lorena, Maria, Ephraim was awesome.

The location was great if you're looking for somewhere that is peaceful and family friendly. The airport was so close that you could see the tail of the airplanes but at no time were we able to hear the planes from our room.

The rooms were very nice and the bed was so comfortable that I am looking into buying that mattress. The gym was awesome! The equipment was new, clean and in working condition and they made sure to utilize every floor even the roof where I chose to do my workouts.

The bonus was Maria and Ephraim coming up to the roof with a tray filled with cold towels and ice cold water after my workout. I mean these guys were great!

The breakfast buffet was awesome and filled with a variety of goodies that changed daily. There were nets around the outside eating area so that you were not harassed by the birds although some were able to find their way in.

For some reason, it did not work that well in our room but worked well pool-side and in the lobby area. I will definitely be back!

Their casino was so small too. No poker tables which I thought was a standard nowadays. I did put 20 bucks on black and won!

If you're in San Juan and you don't mind paying as if you're at Caesars Palace then this is the place for you. In my opinion there are plenty of places in Puerto Rico where you get more for your money.

We knew right there that we were in for a treat. Thanks goodness our rooms were not too far away from the melodic chants of these protestors. We worried that the rest of the experience would pale in comparison to our entrance, but luckily we were wrong.

We were so pleased to discover that the protestors also were well established on the beach complete w megaphone and a second rat.

I know what you are thinking I don't want to miss any of this amazing protest when I have to use the restroom Can't wait to come back Just sucks that the staff are so nice or this would be an earth shattering experience.

Great resort with lots of pools and is right on the ocean with jet skis. Other reviews talk about the all day long protests by past and current workers and how grossly over priced everything is here, so I'll just add to the real issue here The workers themselves are very friendly Especially Eric, Yashi, Alberto and Joy , but you can go down the road to the Ritz and pay similar prices for twice the experience!

A month ago there were labor troubles and the protesting actually blocked the entrance. The black mouse outside is gone. Not to be missed! Wear your high heels!

My whole family and I stayed here for the weekend of my sisters wedding- We rented multiple rooms and a private villa The walls are extremely thin and the very last night I was there, the next door neighbor one room over decided to have a party with a bunch of people and they were TRASHED.

They kept breaking bottles and laughing and screaming until 3am I couldn't sleep and ended up having to call the front desk to complain since I had a 6am flight back home the next day.

They didn't do much about it and I ended up staying awake all night. I stayed here, because it was free. One shouldn't turn down a free trip and accommodations, but one shouldn't be blind to the faults of said free accommodations.

As in, "The oldest hotel on this side of San Juan" post American takeover and it shows. If you smell weed in your room, that's not cannibis, it's mold.

Yeah, we had mold. We had the king size bed in our room in the main tower, which was huge. The bathroom was very small in relation to the size of the room and had zero counter space.

Tiles lined the floor, which is very common in tropical countries. The rest of their description of the rooms was spot on.

The iHome station is for iPhone 4's and older though. They close down beach chairs and pool by 6. There's still sun out, but they close it down?

Pool bar done by then as well. Their main lobby turns into some cray, cray night club starting around 8pm. Imagine The Jersey Shore meets Miami meets Vegas, but done in a really bad, tasteless way which you wouldn't think is possible and that's what it is like in the lobby when you walk through from a night out.

The have two pools. The action is on the one that's closest to the beach, as it should be. The larger and older one is perfect place to hide from the herd, although you may have to lay next to a couple of leathery ladies from Tampa or Alabama same thing.

They're the weird ones you will eventually turn into so get to know the future you. The beach is dirty. The weekends are a nightmare; everyone is off and it's a public beach equals, shit show.

This beach is best on the weekdays for peace. They have jet skies and other rentals on the beach to keep you entertained.

You will itch A LOT, unless you use: They won't kill you, but he little ones may try and sneak into your beach bag. Check before exiting beach or pool area.

To the left of the hotel, there's about half a mile of average to poor places to eat that are over priced and a Walgreens, which is across from the cockfighting arena.

Yes, you read that right. To the right of the hotel, is about 2 miles of stuff: Yes, you are staying on the tourist strip, so expect to get ripped off.

The Arepas hut is a must, ditto Pinos, a dive bar that's crazy cheap. Being from the Philippines, my grandfather, a kind, and gentle old man, used to run the cockfighting ring in the small town I grew up in.

The cocks there faught to the death, because that's what happens when they put razor blades on their ankles.

There are no blades on these dicks, er cocks. Each and every cock lives to peck another day. Banco RAPEulots is gonna tap yo pockets a few times on this trip.

The T5 and the 53 both cost. Now, there's a wait I didn't drive but heard different prices for self parking and valet.

It's expensive and there's no where else to park on this strip 9. Island Time is something that is real and you must get used to, because it exists everywhere.

My first day, it took 40 min at the horrible diner, left of the hotel, to get breakfast and it was only half full. For the most part, the hotel operates on an American sense of urgency, but pace and effort that can be like watching peanut butter going uphill in January.

It was also quite cold. I was surprised it wasn't much warmer than it was. Also, those fluorescent huge lights over the pool bar area They are awful, an eye sore and when sitting in the hot tub, that awful light shining bright shines right into your eyes.

While I'm discussing ways to improve Could you please put some alcohol in your drinks? Our stay at the Marriott was exactly what a great hotel should be.

Very clean, awesome staff, and the location was perfect. Right on the beach and located betweens tons of restaurants and stores. We tried the breakfast buffet as well.

Great pool for kids! The slide has them entertained and the other kids were friendly donut gave the patents a break!!

Beautiful views from penthouse! My daughter got her hair braided by the pool and made a dolphin sand figure to take home. The casino is busy but didn't see a lot of winners lol.

The bands on the weekend are pretty entertaining and you can dance all night! Very nice hotel with full bar , hot tubs , beautiful pool with a water slide , small casino , dance floor with Latin bands or DJS playing at night.

Good location on the beach however the ocean current was pretty strong here so just enjoyed the pool during our brief stay. There is a Starbucks located directly across the street which is very convenient.

Other restaurants are located close by which we frequented that had more affordable food than the hotel.

We did enjoy out complimentary cocktail. Staff were friendly and accommodating and when requested we received a complimentary room upgrade over looking the pool with some ocean view.

Room was in need of some updating especially in the bathroom and our room was never cleaned on Saturday which was highly disappointing.

They claimed we left the room too late and had the do not disturb sign on the door. They did comp us some of the hotel charges for the inconvenience.

I would still return or recommend to others. Stayed for 3 nights and had a perfectly fine experience!! Some good and some bad here, so I'm giving this Marriott three stars.

This hotel is in the heart of the Condado area and is right on Ashford Ave. There are so many bars and restaurants to choose from that it's almost overwhelming.

Oh, and the hotel is located directly on the beach. There is a CVS with tons of cheap booze that is literally next door. Oh, a gelato shop is next door as well.

Perfect way to cool down. All of those rooms have balconies and the view is top notch. We had nights on points, but I believe that the nightly rate was around Really not bad for an oceanfront hotel.

There is not a large area for lounge chairs, and lots of the area is also shaded. When I'm on vacation I want to do two things - sleep late and then lay by the pool until I go back to sleep.

I had to get up at 6: Random thing to notice, but they have a really poor drainage system. There were huge puddles everywhere. Chairs were just sort of mishmoshed everywhere.

My fiance also had some gambling fails, but I won't blame that on the Marriott. We were really hungry when we arrived from the airport and made the mistake of ordering an 18 dollar quesadilla.

With so many amazing food options literally a stones through away we realized that this was a silly thing to do. Maybe that's my fault though. I could list pros and cons for days, but at the end of the day this is an ocean front beach resort that is surrounded by amazing food and drinks.

And the price is reasonable. I'm sure I'll be back again next February! She Eats Real F. Sign Up Log In. Oops, we can't find your location.

Close to restaurants, the beach and the Hyatt House San Juan. The staff greeted you with a smile.

The breakfast was fresh and amazing. The Hyatt Place was clean and spacious. They had everything you could think of in this hotel.

The Hyatt was an amazi ng place to stay. Staff was great, very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and fresh. Service with a smile.

Sink is in bedroom, nice modern touch. Bar area on top floor that leads out to pool. Was raining when we were there but looked like a good place to relax.

We had an amazing time at this hotel, it is close to old San Juan and has great amenities; we were also able to enjoy some of the amenities of another Marriott Staff was very nice.

Explored Old San Juan before our cruise the next day. Breakfast was included, but limited to packaged food and coffee was hard to get. Overall, a nice stay.

This is the place to be! They were so nice and helpful. They got us to our ship on time and were very helpful. Caribe Hilton San Juan. The restaurant is a bit pricey but the food is delish!!

The room doors still bear the scars of Maria. We loved that it was so close to the beach and the downtown area was not too far away either.

We had a great time. Some things I did want to mention. Courtyard San Juan Miramar. Both the valet and frontdesk were very friendly and spoke great English.

The room was a little small, but that's to be expected of a city hotel. Fast and easy check in and check out. The place is very clean and has nice linens.

It's cozy and comfortable. Everything was clean and ready for us. The staff is super helpful and will go above and If you've stayed in one before, it's the same configuration as most.

The plus here is the very very large pool area, with a great kiddie area if you have kids playing or The kids enjoyed the pool as it had a slide.

The hotel was very clean and room was accomidiating. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

The san juan resort & casino -

Sparen Sie Zeit — sparen Sie Geld! Cannot comment on restaurant as didn't use them.

Same with the bathroom. Food and drinks are expensive so go get it on the strip. Four stars only because our air conditioner didn't work our first night here; it was miserable.

Everyone I've encountered here from the bar tenders to the front desk to the guy that came and fixed our air conditioning was very nice and accommodating.

We booked last minute so it was expensive, plus we wanted a room with an ocean view. Otherwise the hotel is nice. They're near some nice restaurants and other basic necessities cvs, Walgreens, liquor stores, etc.

Good to note that their room service menu is very limited and it took a bit to be delivered. Also they don't serve any alcohol including room service, like a mimosa for example, until 11am.

Right on the beach. Beautiful views, clean pool area, attentive staff, and great entertainment. Definitely will be back.

I can't say enough good things about my stay in PR, specifically here at the Marriott. The hospitality in the hotel and the people of San Juan has been simply amazing.

Seriously need to get back here soon. Loved the dance lessons, the spiral slide into the pool with the swim up bar and the live DJ.

You made a 48 year old and a 4 year old have the time of their lives. Can't wait to come back!!! Will absolutely be back. Everyone was so helpful and courteous!

Starbucks right out easy, everything is within distance including excursions and old San Juan. La placita is about a 10 minute cab ride.

Walgreens located conveniently close. Loved the pool, the rooms--everything. One suggestion--eat out of the hotel--food and drinks are over priced especially for the portion, they are not strong, and service is a little slow at the bar.

Giving this hotel a 3 star because they don't know how to do business. This felt like any regular hotel NOT catered to tourists.

As a guest, you pretty much entertain yourself. Yes they have a concierge, but as far as the vibe of the hotel There's no "beach" stand to offer snorkels, buggy boards, floaties or anything.

Basically what i'm saying is that this hotel doesn't know the word "FUN", and if they are to increase tourists on the island, they should take it up a notch and make a name for themselves to be the fun family hotel.

Now those guys know how to make it fun and get people to return and "spread the word". The Marriott you would think given how big they are, you know they know the formula..

This is just a plain old hotel service. BTW - the staff was extremely nice and the grounds are clean. Thus why I have them 3 stars in stead of less.

The food is good. Location is what is great about this place especially with a CVS right next door.

Close to all the restaurants. The rooms are spacious. The staff is courteous and very friendly. Would I stay here again?

I'm gonna have to check out other hotels and get back to you on that. The Condado Beachfront at the resort is a public beach, so don't be alarmed by the man walking up and down the beach selling fresh coconuts with a machete.

The waves at this beach are also a little more aggressive compared to other beaches. Food and drinks at this hotel are fresh and delicious, but depending on what you order can easily get on the pricey side.

I love that the hotel had two swimming pools, a water slide, and a swim up bar. The location also isn't too far from the airport, and is also conveniently located near a CVS and Walgreens just incase you forgot anything.

My one star dock is for the disorganization I had at checkout. Late checkout definitely needs to get it together! As a Marriott Elite member I opted for a 3pm checkout since my flight didn't take off until 4pm.

Nonetheless I went to the beach, came in at 1: After waiting at front desk for about 15 minutes and informing front desk that I didn't have my ID, I didn't have my ID, I left it in the room since I went to the beach I was told security would meet me at my room to open it.

After waiting another 20 minutes upstairs by my room, security finally came. So needless to stay, I had to spend almost 40 minutes to get my room opened all because my key didn't work, and rush having to get to the airport.

This was extremely inconvenient because I had to rush getting ready to get to the airport after this. First time staying here after coming to San Juan for the last 30 years.

We had a lovely corner room with a gorgeous view. The bathroom was small and dated but the room itself was roomy, comfortable, and clean. The Marriot is a solid brand and you can expect above average service and quality.

The hotel staff was also tops. My only gripe is with the abysmal cocktails by the pool, hence the deduction of a star.

The former was some juice with a splash of rum and the latter came with flat soda and a splash of rum. They were nothing short of offensive.

I am in the liquor biz and I understand promotions, and my suggestion would be to give 1 voucher for a proper cocktail or beer. I like a drink when I stay at hotels, but this was the least amount of money I've ever spent on hotel booze - no small feat for me.

The only redemption was the beautiful beach view. Finally, not so much a gripe as a warning: If you're sensitive to chemicals, you might want to avoid spending time down there.

The accommodations were great and the service even better. With a location right on the beach, the choice of ocean or a stunning pool complex was a tough one.

The spiral water slide was even fun for adults! And after the slide, the swim-up bar was only a few leg kicks away! The food at the hotel is delicious and enticing, but there are plenty of options in the close-by blocks of Condado.

And the Stellaris casino is available on the ground floor for whatever level of risk you choose. Loved the ocean view balcony!

The one negative - which was fortunately minor because this was a vacation week - was the lack of usable programs on the business center computers.

Email was no problem, but the computer did not have Microsoft Office or a similar suite. It may be due to the recent hurricane why the amenities seem lacking.

Something was wrong with the hot water and there was no available tv channels except for the hotel channel. The very friendly service and the upgrade to oceanview made up for tue misses but hopefully the issues with the amenities get resolved soon.

I've always loved this Marriott with its traditional decor. Gives me the feeling of being in a hacienda Depending on your mood, the casino may be a plus or minus.

Wow what a great resort! Everything you could ever want all in one place. Our room was literally right on the ocean.

We slept with the door open each night and fell asleep to the crashing waves just feet away from us. The lobby has a bunch going on.

From a huge bar, a mini market with great lattes, a casino and an area that changes but I saw some sort of local marketplace one night and live salsa music another.

The beach is wonderful. It is not often you find a hotel where the beach chairs, umbrellas and tables are all free.

The pool area could use a revamp. The main pool area is so shallow that you have to squat like a duck to keep your shoulders under.

Air conditioner was good, bathroom and water Great breakfast, wifi, and a really nice front desk staff.

The shuttle to the beach was very useful and the room was clean and spacious. The pictures of the pool make it look a lot bigger The service was great.

The room was very nice and our view was beautiful!. The roof top was amazing.. Were definitely coming back. El Canario by the Lagoon.

Very kind and helpful staff. House keeping was quick and prompt. Very close walk to the ocean and a pretty safe area.

Monica at the front desk is wonderful, she was so helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and basic with plenty of towels. The breakfast room is small but Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel.

Seven days after the cruise on the Caribbean, we stopped for one day, that we were waiting for a flight to Europe.

We got a free upgrade to a partial ocean view room. They have bike you can use, parking is on site for a fee, our room and bathroom were spacious and clean and the bed was The location was awesome, one block from the public beach and between Ashford and Luiza the main drags in Condado.

San Juan Airport Hotel. The ladies were lovely and they did there best to make a bad situation much more pleasant. Adriana was especially helpful.

Lauderdale, Airline put us up in the airport hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, accommodations were clean, and very comfortable!

Hector gave us the on where to go in great detail. We felt so comfortable that we forgot we had to leave until the front desk reminded us very tactfully, because we The food at their restaurant was excellent and the margaritas delicious.

They have a rooftop terrace with an amazing The Condado Plaza Hilton. Doubletree by Hilton San Juan. It is near taxis, a supermarket and restaurants.

You can even walk to some of the places and it is in front of the beach. The building is very clean and quiet. If you decide to drive.

You can borrow the hotel chairs and just walk to the beach. Close to Old San Juan and many other attractions. We drove our rented car Prices are the average nightly price provided by our partners and may not include all taxes and fees.

Taxes and fees that are shown are estimates only. One shouldn't turn down a free trip and accommodations, but one shouldn't be blind to the faults of said free accommodations.

You can also walk right out onto the beautiful Isla Verde beach. From a complimentary cocktail tasting upon check in, our room tour guided by Anderson, to our perfect bar experience with Yashira and Alberto, everything has exceeded our expectations.

These staff members went out of their way to recommend activities for us to experience during our stay and were very helpful. I visited the concierge to rent a car and she took care of it for me in less than five minutes.

The El San Juan provides luxury hotel accommodations at their finest. I very much enjoyed this hotel. We stayed here in the beginning of June, Amazing service, very clean, recently remodeled.

Great pool and beach. Barely left the property for our entire trip. It's honestly an awesome hotel, that's everything nice I have to say about it.

I gave it two stars because i have been in hell for the last two weeks. I brought my psychiatric support dog, aka. They also tried to prevent him from coming in to certain places; they should have known that under the Federal ADA rules, "Under the ADA, State and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is normally allowed to go.

For example, in a hospital it would be inappropriate to exclude a service animal from areas such as patient rooms, clinics, cafeterias, or examination rooms.

However, it may be appropriate to exclude a service animal from operating rooms or burn units where the animal's presence may compromise a sterile environment.

This place has the benefit of a great location and amazing beach view. It offers a lot of options for its guests from the restaurants, pool, casino, clubs.

But it leaves a lot else to be desired. Price - very pricey for the quality of the property and the service.

I've had a lot better. Service - Quite poor for a resort. Our first room had a good sized puddle of standing water and the floors were wet so we asked to switch rooms.

Even tho it was 8pm we had to wait for another room to be ready. They didn't seem apologetic or over-accommodating about it. We came for a wedding that was supposed to have wedding bags delivered to the rooms.

When i asked about it they said they were all delivered so some random must have received ours. Again, the didn't seem to disturbed by the fact.

Casino - Small, but my biggest beef was with the dealers. Most were unfriendly, a few highlights, but for the most part they didn't encourage you, make it fun or exciting - much different from Vegas Noise - The walls in the rooms are paper thin.

I was constantly getting woken up late at night or in the morning by guests in the hall or next door.

We could hear our neighbors phone ringing constantly! I didn't get to make it into the clubs at all either but I heard they were fun.

I don't think there are cheaper better options in this area so I know it is what it is, but it would be good to be treated like you are at a resort when you are paying for it!

We had an amazing 5 night stay in the casino and resort. There's like 5 pools and 4 hot tubes to choose from.

One pool has a swim up bar that's super cool and another pool is in a secret cut with a water fall. Just do it haha they're good!!!

The casino is also a blast!!! We stayed in the Garden Rooms which were nice but in desperate need of a face lift. We have a private back balcony and it's a nice spacious room.

They will change your sheets everyday if you put the little card on your pillow that's located on the bathroom sink.

Def would be coming back here if we get the chance!!! The staff was wonderful - the beach is very nice - the poolside food and service very good.

The room was adequate and has a good view of the pool area. There is a lot of construction going on so the place is noisy all day with saws and hammering.

You can see there is a beautiful hotel behind the temporary drywall and fences. It was home base for an active vacation. Maybe someday I come back and see the place when the work is done.

San Juan Hotel is awesome!!! From the moment you arrive they greet you with smiles. The rooms and service here is great!!!
